Dr. Shannon Henderson is currently the principal of Trautwein Elementary School, embarking on her 27th year in education and her 21st year within the Mehlville School District. With a rich background that includes serving as a 4th grade teacher and Assistant Principal in the Parkway School District at Central Middle and Green Trails Elementary, Dr. Henderson brings a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to student growth.

Dr. Henderson holds a Master's degree in Education and Educational Administration, as well as a Doctorate in Educational Administration from Maryville University. Her educational journey reflects her dedication to professional development and her passion for fostering an engaging and supportive learning environment.

What Dr. Henderson values most is the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children — socially, emotionally and academically. She believes in working collaboratively with students, teachers and families to create a nurturing atmosphere where every child can thrive.

Outside of her professional commitments, Dr. Henderson takes immense pride in her family. Spending quality time together is a cherished value, and it fuels her passion for education, reminding her of the importance of community and connection in shaping young lives.
